The Tour Salon trade fair, held October 4-6, 2024 at the Poznan International Fair, ended with great success. For three days, travel enthusiasts, travel industry professionals and exhibitors from Poland and abroad created a unique atmosphere full of inspiration, knowledge and new opportunities.

Tour Salon and its accompanying events, including the campervan, caravan and equipment fair Caravans Salon Poland, the Yacht Salon boat and water sports equipment fair, the Travel Festival "Śladami Marzeń" and the "Tup Tup" Family Travel Festival, attracted as many as 37,745 visitors. This year's edition showed that tourism is not only about discovering the world, but also about building relationships and sharing experiences together.

Diverse tourist offer and local flavors

This year's Tour Salon attracted attention with its rich tourist offer, which was presented by both Polish regions and international exhibitors. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the attractions of cities, municipalities, travel agencies and even meet representatives of places worth visiting. At the stands, visitors could discover the attractions of regions such as Lower Silesia, known for its majestic castles and palaces and scenic mountain trails, and Mazovia, which was the partner region of this year's edition, offering the historical richness of the entire region and its scenic routes. Subcarpathia encouraged visitors to discover the Bieszczady Mountains, the region's wildlife and cultural attractions, while Lesser Poland delighted with its offer of rafting on the Dunajec River, discovering the charms of the Zagorze Mountains, which connect the Beskid Wyspowy and Gorce Mountains, and presenting the extraordinary landscapes around Tarnów, a city that is a true gem of the region. On the other hand, Wielkopolska, as the host of the event, focused on promoting the origins of Polish statehood, as well as tasty traditions, as representatives of the Rogal Museum of Poznan visited the booth. Tourism with four-legged friends was also an important highlight of the region. Lodz attracted attention with its modern tourist offer, related to the region's industrial heritage and extensive cultural infrastructure. Every participant of the fair had the opportunity to discover new travel destinations and plan their next trip, taking advantage of the wide range of booths.

Three days full of inspiring meetings and lectures

This year's Tour Salon also included a number of business events that attracted the attention of tourism professionals. One of the key points was the presentation of Bulgaria, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria and the National Tourist Representation in Poland, where lesser-known but extremely charming places in Bulgaria, which are ideal tourist destinations for Poles, were presented. Another important event was a briefing by the Ławica Airport, which addressed issues related to the development of the airport and new destinations, which aroused the interest of tour operators and representatives of travel agencies.

During the Polish Tourism Roundtable, industry experts discussed the key challenges facing the tourism sector in Poland. The purpose of the meeting was to develop a strategy for domestic tourism. During the discussion, the most important problems and future directions of development of the sector were addressed. In turn, the panel Managing Safety in Tourism brought together experts to discuss the key challenges of organizing safe travel, which is particularly important in the context of the changes taking place on the global tourism scene.

There was also no shortage of study meetings, such as those organized by Visit Czechia, during which participants were able to learn about the rich tourist offer of our southern neighbors.

Festivals full of passion: Śladami Marzeń and TupTup

Special excitement also accompanied the Travel Festival "Śladami Marzeń" and the "TupTup" Family Festival, which attracted numerous expedition enthusiasts. "Śladami Marzeń" stage featured, among others, Aleksandra Wierzbowska, who talked about her amazing rafting trip down the rivers of the Colombian Amazon, and Anna Zak from the blog Feeltheworld.pl, who shared her experiences from a motorcycle trip around Africa. Also worth mentioning was a lecture by the MYTUJEMY team, which presented an unusual tale of Poznan gastronomy under the title "Through the Fyrtle with a Full Belly." This year's Złoty Ślad winner in the Poland category was Arek Winiatorski and Ola Synowiec (Stones on Travel), while the World category was won by the authors of the World Through Our Eyes blog. The Audience Award went to Jolanta Suszko-Adamczewska.

The TupTup Festival, on the other hand, was a real highlight for families with children. Inspiring lectures and workshops showed that traveling with the youngest can be full of joy and challenges, and a special animation zone provided lots of fun for the little ones. It was the perfect place to inspire future travelers from an early age.

Tour Salon 2024 is an event that once again proved that tourism is not just about moving from place to place - it is about passion, meeting people and discovering the world in various dimensions. This year's edition was full of inspiration, fascinating stories and practical advice that will long be remembered by the participants. See you next year at the next edition of Tour Salon!
